Our Company
With over 40 years of existence, ASA has played a central role in the development of civilaviation in Cabo Verde.
Founded in 1984, in a post-independence context marked by major challenges in infrastructure and aviation safety, ASA emerged as a response to the need to organize and modernize the airport and air navigation sector in the country.
Over the past decades, the company has established itself as a national reference in airport management and flight safety, having been responsible for implementing technological
advancements, training specialized professionals, and ensuring high standards of quality and efficiency across all airports and aerodromes under its responsibility.
However, in July 2023, ASA entered a new phase of its trajectory, becoming exclusively dedicated to the provision of air navigation services. This strategic shift allowed the company to focus its resources, expertise, and investments on a highly technical and vital domain for the safety and efficiency of national and international air traffic.
Today, ASA ensures excellence in air traffic control services, aeronautical communications, surveillance, and airspace management throughout the Sal Oceanic Flight Information
Region (FIR). The company takes pride in delivering modern, efficient, and safe air navigation services, supported by highly qualified professionals and state-of-the-art technological infrastructure.
More than a service provider, ASA is a strategic partner of the State of Cabo Verde and of the airlines that cross the archipelago’s skies, contributing to the country’s global connectivity and to the sustainability of the civil aviation sector.
