The Aeronautical Information Management Service (SGIA) ensures the provision of aeronautical data and information necessary for the safety, regularity, and efficiency of air navigation within its area of responsibility.
The role of aeronautical information and/or data has become even more significant, with the implementation of Area Navigation (RNAV), Navigation Performance Requirements (RNP) and Computer Navigation Systems, such as the Flight Management System (FMS). The access to high quality and timely aeronautical information is a key factor for the success of these systems.
Therefore, Asa-sa is committed to continuously maintain a high quality level of aeronautical information, complying with the requirements of accuracy, resolution, integrity and timeliness, in order to ensure the safety of air navigation.
